COVID Announcement

June 24, 2020

Dear IBC Family,

The Pastor & IBC Leadership Team want to send an update.

The leadership has developed a Three (3) Phase re-opening plan. These phases are aimed at assessing a phased reopening, at the appropriate time, based on best available data & protocols related to COVID.

We are currently operating in Phase 1 - worshipping via Facebook/Youtube video and no events/activities at the church.

Phase 2 - Partial Reopen Plan

This phase would consist of an abbreviated service only. Up to last one (1) hour. Transportation services will be provided. No Sunday school, Children’s Church, Nursery or Youth sessions during this abbreviated service.

Phase 3 - Full Sunday Service Reopen Plan - Gathering for Sunday Service only.

This phase would consist of Full Sunday service only. Transportation services will be provided. Sunday school, Children’s Church, Nursery or Youth sessions would resume at the church. We would gather in this manner until a COVID vaccine is developed.

All other activities would still be remote/distance.

  • Wednesday morning prayer meeting via telecom
  • Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer meeting via telecom
  • Board and leadership meeting via telecom
  • Other ministry meetings via telecom
  • Revisit KFC restart
  • Homegoing/Funeral services – TBD
  • Wedding - TBD
  • Continue to use social media and Facebook/YouTube video.

Unfortunately, we have determined that timing is still NOT proper to implement Phase 2. We hope to revisit this during the month of July, but will continue to operate per Phase1 protocol until a change is communicated.

Some of the factors that contributed to this decision are; no change in widespread COVID testing or COVID treatment availability. In addition, our area of Southwest Ohio has been deemed a COVID “hot spot” by Ohio Dept of Health, which means COVID cases in our area are still rising.

This “hot spot” area includes Montgomery County, parts of Butler County and Hamilton County, in which the City of Hamilton is positioned in between these areas.

It is worth reiterating that the health and safety of our IBC Family is the number one priority. As noted above, our geographic location is experiencing a spike in COVID cases. So, without broad testing and some sort of broad treatment plan we believe it is still prudent for the church to continue remote service for another month.

Once again, thank you for your faithfulness through giving. You can give online at or by mail. You can send your offering to Israel Baptist Church 701 South 7th Street Hamilton Ohio 45011.

Your offerings allow us to continue to minister to people in need in our congregation and community.

You can still contact the church as need arises at 513-867-0099.

We are grateful for your flexibility and understanding. With God's help, together we will get through this difficult time.

Please continue to monitor the church website at and Facebook page at for updates.

Thank you & God Bless,
Pastor Anthony McPeters and the Israel Baptist Church Leadership Team
