COVID Announcement
Announcement of Updated Mask Requirements
May 8, 2022
Hello IBC Family,
First I would like to thank you for your service over these last 2 years during this COVID pandemic. Your efforts mean so much.
The IBC leadership team has determined, in conjunction with current CDC guidelines, that we will relax the mask requirements during
attendance at church as optional but encouraged. Based on the latest CDC Covid risk maps, Butler County and surrounding counties are considered low risk.
In addition, we are making plans to soon restart Sunday School and Children's Church on Sunday mornings.
The church will continue to provide masks, gloves, take temperatures, disinfectant to maintain good hygiene.
Best regards,
Pastor McPeters and Deacon Don Ramsey
Announcement of Church Re-Opening
Jun 1, 2021
Israel Church Family:
The Pastor and the Israel Baptist Church Leadership Team have been seeking God’s direction and wisdom while discussing for the
past year the approach of reopening the church building. We want to reopen the church in a careful, safe, & God ordained way.
We have continued to monitor the weekly improving statistics of the CDC and the State of Ohio Vaccination Board and have determined
that we feel that it is now safe to reopen our church building for what we call Step/Phase 1 of the IBC Reopening Plan.
After much pray, preparation, and planning we have decided that we would like to reopen the church on Sunday June 6th.
In Step/Phase 1 we have the following guidelines:
- 1- hour Sunday morning services only
- Transportation services will be provided for those who need it
- No in-person Sunday School, Children’s church, Nursery or Youth Sessions
- Wednesday Evening Bible Study & Prayer Meetings via telecom
- Attendance will be for main sanctuary level only
- Funeral Services- TBD. Maximum 50 people & Live Streaming provided
- Wedding Ceremonies- TBD. Maximum 50 people & Live Streaming provided
There will also be safety protocols that will need to be followed for those who attend our Sunday morning services, which includes
checking everyone’s temperatures when entering the building, wearing masks at all times while in the building, continuing to do social
distancing, and sanitation stations will be available throughout the main level.
Keeping YOU safe is OUR FIRST & MAIN PRIORITY!! GOD Bless each of YOU!!

COVID IBC Update
Apr 5, 2021
Dear IBC Family,
Now that the rollout of vaccines to fight COVID are being opened to all Ohio residents 16 years
and older, the church leadership has begun discussion of how to potentially reopen the church for
indoor worship.
As we begin to have these discussions, please be aware that we strive to first seek God’s direction
and wisdom through prayer. Also to keep the health & well-being of IBC members/congregants
first priority in decision making. And lastly to make decisions based on data and directions from
State of Ohio, Federal gov’t and CDC/health guidelines.
We envision a 2 step reopening.
Step 1 would be an indoor worship of Sunday Service only, to last roughly 60 minutes. No Sunday
School, Children’s Church, Nursery nor Youth sessions. Transportation services would be
provided.
Here are the considerations we are using as guide to implement Step 1:
-
A high percentage of Ohioans and residents in Butler, Hamilton and Montgomery counties
have been vaccinated as reported by State of Ohio, by vaccinated population count.
-
A low 7 day moving average positivity rate reported in Butler, Hamilton and Montgomery
counties.
-
Dramatically reduced numbers of new cases and deaths as reported by State/Federal
gov’t/CDC.
With these considerations we believe we are still months away from implementing Step 1 indoor
worship.
Afterwards, when we see that Step 1 is successful, we will decide when to implement a full
reopening as a Step 2.
We will strive to keep the church updated on a regular basis as we go through this process.
Thank you & God Bless,
Pastor Anthony McPeters and the Israel Baptist Church Leadership Team
